Finding Hope

Finding Hope Orphanage is a Christian, faith-based home for orphaned and vulnerable children located in the heart of Congo. Rooted in the love of Christ, we provide shelter, education, spiritual guidance, and a sense of family to children in need.

OUR VISION

We dream of a home where every child feels safe, loved, and full of purpose. We want each child to know their value in Christ and to grow into strong, faith-filled leaders who will bless their communities.

WHAT WE DO

At Finding Hope, we provide more than just shelter—we care for the child entirely.
That means:

Daily meals and clean water

Access to school and basic education

Prayer, worship, and Bible teaching

Clothing, hygiene, and healthcare

Emotional support and play

OUR COMMUNITY

Finding Hope is deeply rooted in the local Congolese community and supported by faithful partners around the world. We work hand in hand with local caregivers, churches, and Generation Rise Up (GRU)—a U.S.-based ministry that walks alongside us in prayer, support, and leadership development. Together, we are building more than a home—we’re building a Christ-centered movement of hope, healing, and purpose.

Background / History

Finding Hope Orphanage was born out of a simple desire—to care for the children no one else could. What began as a small home for a few orphaned children in Congo has grown into a place of safety, healing, and spiritual growth. With the support of faithful believers and our partners at Generation Rise Up, Finding Hope has become more than a shelter—it’s a family grounded in Christ.

Mission / Values

We exist to provide more than just food and shelter. Every child in our care is nurtured physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Rooted in James 1:27, we are committed to raising children who know they are loved by God, built up in faith, and equipped for a hopeful future. At Finding Hope, each child is seen, known, and given the opportunity to flourish.

Founder

Mama Seraphine

Mama Seraphine founded Finding Hope out of a deep desire to give orphaned children a place to belong. Her vision began with just a few children and a commitment to trust God for everything. Today, she continues to lead with grace, wisdom, and a mother’s love—building a Christ-centered home where hope grows every day.

Co - Founder

Pastor Joseph Nkenyero

As both a co-founder and spiritual father to many, Pastor Joseph provides guidance, prayer, and biblical teaching to the children and staff at Finding Hope. His pastoral care and leadership are the spiritual foundation of the home. With deep compassion and a heart for discipleship, he walks closely with the children—planting seeds of faith, purpose, and truth in their lives.
